

The judgeship of Puri started functioning from 15th July 1957 with its headquarter at Puri. The District Court building was established on 25th April 1971. Thirty-Seven different courts are functioning in the judgeship with outlying stations at Nimapara, Pipili, Brahmagiri, Kanas, Konark, Kakatpur and Astarang. The V.C. facilities are available in all courts since 15.08.2025 by adopting the ICT tools to digitize and modernize judicial process by using warrant management system. 297 NBW/BW were issued by using warrant management system portal. Virtual court hearing, e-filing, e-Seva Kendra, VWDC and remote point V.C. were conducted under e-Court project. During the year 2025, various legal awareness programmes were organized on different topics and significant days were observed by DLSA, Puri. Sixteen cases were settled in Mediation during the Campaign “Mediation for the Nation”, Drive-I, 2025.
