The Rayagada judgeship was carved out from the judgeship of Koraput and started functioning from 7th July 2012. Twenty-three different courts are functioning in the judgeship with outlying stations at Kashipur, Bissam Cuttack, Gunupur, Muniguda, Kolnara, and Padampur. The District Court is functioning in the existing Civil Courts premises at Rayagada.During the year 2025, various legal awareness programmes were organized on different topics and significant days were observed by DLSA, Rayagada. Five cases were settled in Mediation during the Campaign “Mediation for the Nation”, Drive-I, 2025. The Court and the Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Rayagada was inspected on 03.05.2025 by Justice A.C. Behera, Administrative Judge of Rayagada judgeship.
